Poll Question: I was just curious as to what age group everyone is to figure out the general age of most of the people getting certifed.

35. SAHM of 2 preschoolers. Avon Lady; but not your typical ding dong lady. Health and Fitness have always been a part of my life. I was a high level competitive Figure Skater in Canada. Love to learn, help and feed/fuel the fire of enthusiasm and achievement in others. I am anxiously Awaiting the arrival of my study materials. Glad to have a supportive resource such as these boards and I am looking forward to learning and sharing.Posts:

I'm 56 and this is my third career--taught college writing for 20 years and have owned a cafe for 12--and I'm not a long time fitness buff or science major and frankly, couldn't kick that many butts. But I know I'm a good teacher and learner, so that got me through the test. Yes, I had days I doubted my sanity but I passed and I'm linking up with a local studio. Good luck to all!Posts:

I'm really surprised to see my age category (45-54) as being the largest group of CPT candidates. I'm truly excited to be making a career change at this point in my life. Fitness has been a huge part of my life for the past 20+ years but I've finally decided to make it my career, sharing my experiences and expertise with others. Running and fitness in general is one of the most important aspects of my life. I'm still waiting to receive my study materials so I have a ways to go yet before I become certified but I can't wait! Congrats to all who have become certified (no matter what your age). Enjoy your career...that's what it's all about.Posts:

I'm 18, and a freshman in college and a bio major. I guess I figured out what I loved doing pretty early! I'm on the varsity soccer team at school. Not certified yet, but after a few more bio and physiology classes, I'll look into taking the CPT test. Good luck to everyone!Posts:

28, and formerly "handicapped" (was extremely limited in activities due to birth defect that was corrected 9 years ago) Now in the best shape of my life, and looking forward to helping others achieve the same.Posts:
