I heard that calculators aren't allowed for the test - is this true? Even with all of the Karvonen and BMI formula work we have to do?

This is true. Know the is/off=%/100 If that confuses you, ask someone who knows college alegebra. It is a basic equation. All of the math problems in the test, fit right into that formula.

That's correct! Calculators are not allowed during the ACE exam. Check out the recent blog post from ACE's new "Exam Preparation Blog" for more information.

ACE Exam Preparation Blog

It's difficult for the proctors to distinguish between non-programmable and programmable calculators and this poses a potential security risk. Candidates could gain an unfair advantage by programming specific fitness information that could be used to help answer questions and possibly copy sensitive exam information. Keep in mind there are only about a dozen or so questions that involve basic math.
